2012 WSOP Europe Schedule Released
The European leg of the world’s biggest poker tournament series will play out over two weeks at the Hôtel Majestic Barrière in Cannes, starting September 21. Due to French gaming law only Hold’em and Omaha tournaments are allowed, which means this year’s slate of events will look a lot like the WSOPE’s first visit to Cannes one year ago. A €10,000 main event headlines a list that includes a Shootout, full-ring and six-max PLO events and the same Mixed Max event we saw in 2011.

Scotty Nguyen to Host 2012 WSOP Africa
Taking place at the Emerald Resort and Casino in South Africa February 21-26, the series consists of six WSOP ring events, including the main event. There will also be a charity event and a ladies tournament; however neither of those will award rings. Five-time WSOP bracelet winner Scotty Nguyen will be the master of ceremonies.

2012 WSOP Schedule Released, October Nine Debuts
With 61 bracelets up for grabs, three more than 2011, the biggest changes to this summer’s WSOP come in the way of a shorter Main Event final table delay and the world’s first $1 million buy-in tournament. Things kicks off in earnest on May 28th with a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event, that’s one day after the series officially starts with a non-bracelet $500 Casino Employees event. The first bracelet event is one of 21 tournaments available to players at the $1,500 buy-in level.

EPT Adds Three New Stops to Season 8 Schedule
Berlin, Madrid and Campione, Italy will all play host to €5,300 buy-in EPT events in 2012. “We’re delighted that the EPT will be returning to two major capital cities in Europe, both of which have proved to be highly popular locations in recent years,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly. “We’re also very excited that the tour is for the first time heading to the highly exclusive region of Campione in Italy, further extending the reach of the EPT,” added Stuchly.
