This year Racener has his sights set firmly on beating everyone. “I had an awesome run last year but it’s gone really well this year as well,” he said. Since finishing runner-up in last year’s Main Event, the Floridian recorded a fourth place finish in the WPT Five Diamond event for $232k and has cashed four times at the 2011 WSOP including two final tables, for over $300k.

Hole-in-One Sends Canadian to Main Event
The 37-year old Pritchett was all smiles on Day 1c of the Main Event as he attempted to build a large stack in the early stages of the tournament. “It’s awesome,” he said. “We’re playing for life-changing money here.” Pritchett played a special $750 buy-in golf/poker charity event at the Turnberry Golf Course in Ontario that began with a golf tournament and finished with a No-Limit Hold’em freezeout. That event drew 80 players and two Main Event seats were awarded: one to the player who hit the first hole-in-one and the second to the winner of the poker tournament

He outlasted a field of 352 players to take down Event 57 $5,000 PLO Hi-Lo for a total of $397,073. It was the final bracelet to be awarded at the 2011 WSOP, outside of the Main Event. “It feels amazing,” he said.
Players Championship Headlines WSOP Day 33

Polychronopolous Grabs $1.5k WSOP Bracelet
The 27-year-old, who lives in Southhampton, New York, but has Greek lineage, outdueled a tough final table that included Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Matt Stout to take down a $650k first place prize and a WSOP bracelet “This bracelet means so much to me,” he said. “Almost too much. I really love this game and I’ve been playing for a long time.” Polychronopoulos was overwhelmed with emotions after winning and broke down crying moments after beating Canadian Simon Charette.

Owais Ahmed Out-Grinds Mizrachi to Win First WSOP Bracelet
With a massive cheering section and his second WSOP bracelet in the balance, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi watched his heads-up chip lead crumble as Ahmed, a Hi-Low specialist, surged to victory in the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low event. Ahmed has been playing Stud-8 and Omaha-8 for a long time and has clocked plenty of hands both live and online, where he plays under the screen name “oerockets”.
