With 61 bracelets up for grabs, three more than 2011, the biggest changes to this summer’s WSOP come in the way of a shorter Main Event final table delay and the world’s first $1 million buy-in tournament. Things kicks off in earnest on May 28th with a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event, that’s one day after the series officially starts with a non-bracelet $500 Casino Employees event. The first bracelet event is one of 21 tournaments available to players at the $1,500 buy-in level.

Monster Pot Recap: takechip Takes Two

The biggest online poke r winner overall was actually BiatchPeople, who earned $150,000 yesterday playing 2-7 Triple Draw, but because of the Limit structure of that game none of the pots even came close to the behemoths built by Berndsen and D’Auteuil. Surprisingly, since they played two six-figure pots and a slew of other monsters, neither Berndsen or D’Auteuil cracked the biggest winners or losers lists on the day. Berndsen finished just over $9,000 up while D’Auteuil lost roughly the same.

Kelopuro recorded 734 hands in about two hours last night and, although the majority was in $50/$100 PLO , he won several massive pots in $50/$100 No-Limit Hold’em against SKTom84 and fellow Finn Ilari Sahamies. No-Limit Hold’em is a rarity these days in the high stakes games on PokerStars but Kelopuro has never shied away from the game.  Despite his status as one of the elite high stakes online players in the game, Kelopuro has had some problems this year. Before last night’s session Kelopuro was down a total of $385,000
