Jason Senti November Nine Interview

Jason Senti was one of the chip leaders when play ended on Day 7 with only 27 players remaining. His chip stack for the better part of Day 8 remained in the 13-15 million neighborhood until play was down to just 10 players. Things weren’t going so well for Senti but he was able to use a proper shortstack strategy to finally make it into poker’s elite. When play resumes at the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event in November, Senti will hold the smallest stack at 7.63 million. Success, however, is nothing new for Senti as he’s already been making a good living playing online poker for the last few years. Normally a Heads-Up specialist for both No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha, he’s one of the lead instructors over at Blue Fire Poker.

Holding the shortest stack entering the final table of the 2010 World Series of Poker ( WSOP ) Main Event is Jason Senti . A popular instructor at Bluefire Poker, Senti has a stack of just 7.63 million, one-ninth of Jonathan Duhamel ’s November Nine-leading 65.98 million. Making the 2010 WSOP November Nine was anything but a cinch for Senti, however. With 78 players remaining, Senti sat on just the 69th largest stack and faced a long uphill climb throughout Day 7. Those who were sweating their shorts stacks on the bubble had to wait an extra 90 minutes as tournament officials made the controversial decision to break for dinner only four slots shy of the money. Frank Kassela sealed up his WSOP Player of the Year win by finishing in the money. All four Mizrachi brothers found a way to cash as well, perhaps ushering in a new era of dominance for “Team Mizrachi.” Only 574 of the 1,203 players that started the day are still remaining.
