Galfond Hits Vancouver as Player Exodus Picks Up
Now that the World Series of Poker has wrapped in Las Vegas, the pace of online poker players moving out of the US to get back to the tables has picked up substantially, with none more prominent than Galfond. The high-stakes pro known as OMGClayAiken on Full Tilt Poker confirmed he’s left his New York residence and set up shop in Vancouver – at least for the near future.

The real problems began when he took on Gavin “gavz101” Cochrane at $50/$100 Pot-Limit Omaha. The famous Finnish poker pro recorded 1,134 hands of $300/$600 PLO 6-Max and absolutely stomped his opponents to the tune of $861,000. Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, ronnyr37617, DrugsOrMe and Esvedra all played but Kyllonen took the biggest chunk out of Andreas “skjervoy” Torbergsen, who lost a staggering $957k. Prior to last night Kyllonen was holding steady with a relatively minor $25k in profit this year
