PokerStars Sunday tournament results 7-25-10
Jul 26th
Last we checked, Canada Day was earlier in the year. Our Canadian friends took the day off and did a bunch of Canadian things. We remember it clearly, largely because we were a little jealous. So, with the above completely understood, you can probably understand why were like, “Wha?” when Team PokerStars Canada blew up yesterday during the Sunday tournaments. One $215 Mixed Hold’em final table alone consisted of Team Pros Pat Pezzin, Greg Debora, and An Van Nguyen.

ANZPT Queenstown: Day 2 to burn bright but brief
Jul 22nd
When I looked out my hotel room window this morning, I spotted a dump truck across the street. It was filled to the brim with recently-split firewood, likely culled from the dense forests of fir trees that carpet this corner of New Zealand. Almost every home and business in Queenstown, it seems, makes auspicious use of a fireplace. The sweet, smoky aroma of burning logs curling through the town is as much a part of life here as the skiing, snowboarding, quad-biking and late-night revelry. Fir-covered forests drape the mountains around Lake Wakatipu The scent of wood smoke drifts into the SKYCITY Queenstown tournament room from time to time, as players in the ANZPT Queenstown Main Event slip out onto the smoking balcony for a quick second-story cigarette break
Robert Pisano – Poker Player Profile
Jul 17th
Home court advantage is everything in poker. Just ask Robert Pisano , one of 40 players vying for the title in the World Series of Poker ( WSOP ) Main Event in Las Vegas. Pisano, who calls Sin City home, made a deep run in the 2010 installment of the prestigious poker tournament and will record his largest cash to date in a live event when the final cards are dealt. Pisano’s success in the live arena has been mostly limited to Los Angeles and his hometown of Las Vegas. In the latter, he cashed in a pair of Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza events in April 2009 for $11,000 total
Girls on the Rail Photo Dump – Day 6 at the 2010 WSOP Main Event
Jul 16th
That poor button on Tatjana's shirt doesn't stand a chance. A solid day of Girls On The Rail including the ever elusive, always hot and super cool Tatjana Pasalic , who we understand is a big deal over in Croatia where she’s credited with starting the poker boom there, mainly thanks to looking like this and this while talking about poker. Stalk Tatjana on Twitter here . Also railing on Day 6 of the 2 010 WSOP Main Event was our favorite new “Bodog Girl” Megan, Super Cute Tat Girl, Rhino Girl, and “Natasha.” Pics of them and more below… Full Gallery: Girls on the Rail Photo Dump – Day 6 at the 2010 WSOP Main Event 1 2 3 ► Related Posts 2010 WSOP Main Event Day 5 Girls on the Rail Photo Dump Girls On The Rail from Day 1B Of The 2010 WSOP Main Event Girls On The Rail (And Floor) Photo Dump
103 players head to dinner break on Day 6 of the WSOP main event
Jul 16th
In the most amazing case of bad timing on Day 6, as soon as we share the chip-and-a-chair story of Gualter Salles, he proceeded to be one of the first eliminations when players returned from break in Level 24. Salles, eliminated in 117th place, was knocked out by Adam Levy who has since built his stack to 1.5 million in chips. It’s been a tough level so far for WSOP bracelet holders as 2009 double-bracelet winner J.P. Kelly went out in 111th, Jesper Hougaard in 108th and Robert Mizrachi in 116th….
WSOP Main Event Day 5: Poker with Doctor Love
Jul 14th
They call Imari Love “Doctor” Love. I did check, but could find no line in the KISS track “Dr Love” that wouldn’t be grossly inappropriate. Imari Love has been known as “Doctor” since he was ten years old, a title that we should stress carries no medical qualification or authority. “It’s my nickname,” said Love. “I’ve been Doctor Love since I was ten years old for how I used to operate on the basketball court, how I operated when I was a little older with women and now how I operate at the poker table.” The last couple of days have been good for the Doctor
WSOP Main Event: Day 4 Level 14 Mid-Level Update
Jul 13th
Benyamine picked off a big bluff this past hour Oh Pavilion Room, we hardly knew ye. The cavernous space at the WSOP Main Event is now out of commission and the remaining 1,000 or so players in the Main Event field have been condensed into the Amazon Room. Players have vacated the Amazon Room for their
