Freeroll Spotlight: The New 888poker
Previously only available to sponsored players on competitor’s sites, the Lounge software lets players create their own custom cash games or tournaments as well as the ability to send invites to all their friends. Hosting your own private game is just one of the new features on 888poker, which also include PokerCam tournaments, Teams Poker, Flash Games and Live Casino Dealers.

A total of 647 players took to the felt for the $10,000 buy-in main event including Phil Ivey, Victor Ramdin, Jose Barbero, Dario Minieri, Vanessa Selbst and Chad Brown. Even Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia got in on the action, although he busted early. The PCA main event was almost a second thought as several events were going on at the same time.

It was a very busy week for poker news as Phil Laak won his first bracelet, APPT Auckland began in New Zealand and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies went on a warpath in the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker.
