UKIPT Brighton: Day 1b begins

‘Four seasons in one day’ went the popular song by Crowded House. We don’t know what day two and three will bring but if day 1a was autumnal, today summer has arrived in Brighton. Being beside the sea there’s of course a bit of wind and we expect some big names to come breezing into the Rendezvous cardroom today. As is always the case in a tournament with two day ones, day 1b seems to attract the majority of the pros and among those hoping to be more hurricane than light gust are three members of Team PokerStars Pro; Vicky Coren, Jude Ainsworth and Julian Thew. All three took part in a Q&A prior to the start of play. The Team gets a grilling Also taking to the felt will be Mike Hill, currently in first place on the UKIPT leaderboard, hoping to catch him will be UKIPT Nottingham champion Andrew Couldridge and a smattering of UK and Ireland poker legends, chief among which will be Neil Channing and Liam Flood

From the WSOP Floor: July 13, 2010

With day 4 in the books here at the Main Event we are officially at the half way point. Today we saw the money bubble come and go and the Pavilion room get closed down for possibly the last time. Bubble Busting: After taking an early dinner today the players returned four away from the money which meant hand for hand play. When play resumed it only took six hands before the bubble was busted.

WSOP Main Event: Day 3, Level 12 Mid Level Update
